“My ten year old black lab, Cody, was having trouble walking on his back leg. We took him to several veterinarians who were not able to find an explanation for his lameness. The X-rays showed nothing and pain medicine did not seem to help. A specialist said that he could operate on Cody but it would require a lengthy recovery period, a large sum of money, and there would be no guarantee that he would be able to walk afterwards.

Due to the fact that we had been searching for over six months and could not find a solution, we decided to try something that we had not originally considered- acupuncture. I called Lydia and she was able to give me an appointment quickly. After a few treatments, Cody seemed much improved. After a few more sessions, he was able to walk normally again..
..My family and I never thought acupuncture would work but we there is no arguing with the results we have seen. Cody appears to be out of pain, walking much easier and happier all in all. He even gets excited to visit Lydia for his treatment! We truly feel that the acupuncture has made all the difference.” ~Theresa Plack

“At first I was a little skeptical. But, I was also getting desperate. Our golden retriever, Kelsey, had from birth chewed himself. His paws were red from saliva stains and he had hotspots that were red, raw, and extremely painful at numerous places on his body. He paced and panted heavily. He had been treated by wonderful veterinarians for about six years without cure. It seemed we had tried about everything that Western medicine had to offer....So, I decided to try something else....animal acupuncture... Kelsey quickly learned that pure relaxation followed Miss Lydia’s visits. I would laugh as he “assumed the position” and flopped down at her feet ready for the needles. After the needles were in place, he would usually close his eyes and seem to be in deep meditation. He loved it...... He started chewing less and he also slowed his pacing and panting. His hotspots healed and his hair grew back. His fur became shinier. ... Today, Kelsey is a much happier and healthier dog. No more daily medications and no more hot spots. Finding Lydia and her practice was a real blessing for our dog and our family. We are believers. Thank you Lydia!” ~The Crookendens: Angie, Ian, Addison, Hadley and Kelsey-dog

“Lydia has treated a number of our event horses here at Dodon Farm. She not only takes the time to understand each horse, but explains the theory behind her treatments. The fact that she's a talented event rider herself and a very astute observer of horses means that we talk the same language...Her treatments on my stallion, Salute The Truth, were key to getting the wetness out of him that was causing lymphangitis.”

“Lydia,
The past seven months' treatments has demonstrated a significant reduction in the debilitating effects of our Shepherd, Buddy's, arthritis in his hind quarters. Thank you very much. As you may recall, when we first came to you, Buddy had a tremendous amount of difficulty walking, and we were considering a rolling cart for his hind legs to allow him to continue going for walks. Though he is now 13, as you know, he is still bright, and engaged in activities, and, after this period of treatment, he is able to get around with out assistance, and, is again able to wag his tail. We had missed that, probably more than him.
As he continues to age, he appears to benefit from the tailored treatments you give him to aid in making his elder time pain free, and, enjoyable for him, and by extension, for us, as well.

Again, thank you so much for all the patience and wisdom you have brought to Buddy's overall good health.
Gratefully,”

“I started bringing my Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Bosun, to Lydia when he was about 9 months old. He had a torn cruciate and could not bear weight on his right hind leg. One visit later, Bosun was bearing weight on the leg and several visits later he was walking normally. About two months later, Bosun began limping on his left hind leg. Lydia treated it, and Bosun again began weight bearing on the leg. We still see Lydia on a regular basis. I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for an alternative to surgery.

Lydia is great to work with. She's very calming and is extremely knowledgeable about acupuncture and animals in general. When we first began seeing her she realized that I was having trouble controlling my dog. During Bosun's acupuncture sessions she worked with me on how to become the "alpha dog." The outcome was more than I could have expected. My dog now listens to me and is generally well-behaved (which is a big accomplishment for a 1 year old 97 pound Chesapeake Bay Retriever).”
